Stellar Blade REVIEW

 More than a gooner game.

The only conversation around Stellar Blade when it released was taken over by grifters solely focusing on Eve's apperance, so imagine my shock when I play Stellar Blade and discover its not just a good game, it's a great one. This is a hack and slash action adventure title with a combat system that takes some elements from souls titles, Nier, Bayonetta and DMC, coming together in a combat system that I LOVED playing through, there are many different strategies and combos to use here, I had a blast all through out my 25 hour adventure that I went and did almost every side quest and managed to accidentally unlock the secret ending in the process, that's how much fun I was having. it's not a soulslike so don't expect that but it is challenging with some huge boss fights especially towards the latter half of the game.


The story is where the game falters, I enjoyed what was there but it definitely lacks oomph in a lot of moments especially in its most important reveals which are delivered in a boring way and none of the characters except EVE herself get much development, I do think that a few characters in Side quests outshined the main cast by a lot like d1g-2r and Enya, the lore here is pretty great though for people who love reading codex entries and hunting down messages and the soundtrack does much of the heavy lifting as it is gorgeous to listen to.


EVE and basically every female character here is obviously designed for gooners by gooners and I find that a bit hilarious, there's so much effort and work put into making every single animation and outfit meticulously designed to be as sexy as possible and they definitely succeeded at that, there's no point to complaining about this nor making this the sole discussion point of the entire game, In my opinion respect the devs' vision and that's that.



FINAL VERDICT
I highly recommend this game while its on sale, if you enjoy games like Nier Automata and Bayonetta, you'll love this one guranteed.
